Behind every song is a story...

Listening to music the other day.. heard a song reminded me of someone.  Realized that alot of songs remind me of someone, or sometime in my life. Whether it is the past or the now. Songs just have a way of bringing memories to the front of my brain... This particular song was no different, and it got me to thinking.  Why do we let friendships fade?  Is it because we don't want to deal with that person? Their problems?  Do we get to busy with our own lives that we just can't take the time to see how people are doing? The answer unfortunately alot of the times is yes, yes and yes.  Then there are the friendships that fall apart because of hurtful words, or the feeling of not being loved or cared about.  I think those are the ones that hurt the most, especially if they have been given chance after chance after chance. Like that quote says.. hurt me once shame on you, hurt me twice shame on me. Well what about that 3rd time. Shame shame shame on me?  I know I learn a new lesson with every ended friendship, but there are some lessons that you never want to learn... but I guess all in all friendships, old and new are what make up life's little tangles....
